If you’re getting over an ex or trying to, keep reading. I’ve been through plenty of breakups and heartaches, but I made it to the other side, and I want to help you do the same.

I know when you are in a breakup it is so hard to imagine finding someone else again, and you might feel like you’re just over dating because you don’t want to do it all over again.

I am here to help you get out of the breakup funk and really push you to move on in a healthy way. You may have received some advice from your friends like, “You need to get under someone else to get over somebody,” but I need to tell you that is some straight up sh*tty advice!

So here are some healthy ways to cope and move on from a breakup

1. Take a step back - We are so scared of being in the quiet with our own thoughts. We want to be out there, distracting ourselves with the noise, but now is the time to take a step back and reflect. For you to move forward you need to take a step back and reflect on that relationship and see it for what it truly was and not what you wished it could have been.

2. Journal - Now that you have the time to reflect, you need to write it down. Write what you are feeling now without judging what you feel and dig into what you don't ever want to feel again. This is not easy but I promise you this will really help you heal.

3. Do things that you love - Try new things that you’ve always wanted to try but have never made time to do them. You can also move your body, but make sure you're doing it in a healthy way! For example, instead of hooking up with some guy you can choose to workout out, which will release those happy hormones and make you feel good about yourself.
